The church was built using the timber-frame method between 1742 and 1744. It was consecrated in 1975 and previously served as a Protestant church. It was subsequently used as a State Agricultural Farm warehouse. In a state of disrepair, it was taken over by the Roman Catholic Church and refurbished. The church was originally surrounded by a cemetery bordering a manor and palace complex. It was founded by Lieutenant General Henning Alexander von Kleist as a votive offering for the Victory at Mollwitz during the First Silesian War.
All of the furnishings date back to the present day. There are no historical touches in the furnishings from the years of the church's construction. The exceptions are the surviving door from 1744 in the south wall and the structure of the matroneum. Interesting fact: King John III Sobieski's carriage was used as the pulpit. It is now an exhibit of the Wilanów Palace Museum.
