A representative villa-house used for receiving garrison quests and general officers. One of the finest buildings located on the area of the former Gross Born Range; built by Germans in the 30ties of the 20 th century. During the German period the building was the residence of: gen. Heinz Guderian, gen. von Blaskowitz, and other Third Reich commannders in chief. After the war the premises of the villa-house were adapted into apartments of the Soviet officers of the 6 th "Vitebsko-Novgorod" Guards Mechanized Division (part of the Northern Group of Forces). Afrer the fire 1990 the buiding gradually deteriorated. Presently ,it's a private property.
