The building was built in the 30 ties of the 20th century. It was the headquarters of Gross Born garrison;German armed forces stationed there. In between 1996-1997 the building was adapted into a Town Hall to serve the needs of the new commune of Borne Sulinowo. It has been the seat of the City Hall of Borne Sulinowo since the 8th of March 1997. The structure is characterized by enigmatic,bi-level cellars situated deep underneath the building.
