Mysia Island

Szczecinek

Towards the end of the German Szczecinek era, it was one of the city's most attractive places that had regained its popularity. Between the wars, thousands of visitors flocked here on Sundays. They enjoyed the natural beauty and infrastructure, including a restaurant that could accommodate up to 1,200 guests. The history of the restaurant on Mysia Island after 1945 is unknown. All we know is that the wooden gallery structure and piers survived until the mid-1950s. Then, over the years, Mysia Island was reclaimed by nature and foresters. The island only changed in 2006. The area was cleared, making access to water possible. After the island was taken over by the city in 2010, a jetty for water trams was built, the beach was developed and a restaurant was established here.
